Turning Seekers of God into Servants of Jesus

ABOUT US

Hope Fellowship exists to turn seekers of God into servants of Jesus. We'd love to invite you to join us on Sunday mornings for biblical teaching with 3 different service times to choose from. We also have teaching for children (birth through 6th grade) during all service times in our children's wing. Sunday School meets at 9am for 7th-8th graders and  Youth groups meet during the week for Middle School and High School. We have Small Groups for adults that meet throughout the Maple Valley, Covington, & Black Diamond areas. Visit our ministry page to learn more!

We believe that God (God the Father, God the Son, & God the Spirit) created the universe and is sovereign over everything that happens. Man was created in God's image (Adam & Eve) but chose to disobey God and as a result broke the relationship with God (original sin). The result is that man was separated from God and God fixed our sin problem by sending His Son, Jesus, to pay for man's sin. Jesus became the substitute in our place on the cross and took the punishment that we deserve to repair the relationship between God and man. Man is only saved by accepting God's free gift of salvation in Jesus. The Bible is God's message to us and can be completely trusted in all it contains.

WHY WE EXIST

To turn Seekers of God into Servants of Jesus

Pastors & Staff

Ben Davis

Senior Pastor

While attending Michigan State University I was staring at my calculus book and suddenly had the thought. “What if I had a great Engeineering career, retired, bought a motor home, travelled around the United States and then died; what would I have done with my life?” I came to the conclusion that my life would be a waste if there was nothing more. I began reading the Bible and found the words of Jesus to be stunning. If such a person really lived that life and said those things, then my search for purpose was over. A couple of years after recieving my Bachelors in Civil Engineering I pursued a Masters of Divinity and have been a pastor ever since.

Family:

I met my vivacious wife Leslie at MSU and we’ve been married since 1984 and have raised two lovely daughters, Abbey & Hannah.

A little known fact:

Right now I’m probably thinking “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!” But I’ll tell you anyway. (It’s probably best just to blurt it out for therapeutic purposes)….I keep reptiles in my office! Let’s just say my wife and I have an understanding that they will never be in the house again and leave it at that.

Jeff Smith

Assistant Pastor of Connections

I became a Christian at the age of 14 but during the summer of my sophmore year in college God convicted me of how I was living. I had been living a life that was focused on me and not God.  When I returned back to school in the fall, I became involved in a local church and campus ministry and my faith began to grow.  I graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting and began working at a CPA firm. Later that year, God called me into full time ministry as I began the pursuit of my Masters of Divinity.  God has done some incredible work in my life, and I am eternally grateful for His grace!

Family:

My High School Sweetheart and wife, Candice, and I have been dating since high school and were married after we graduated from Appalachain State University. We have three amazing boys: Mason, Braden, & Nolan.

A little known fact:

With three boys life is busy! We love being together either hiking, fishing, camping, playing baseball, basketball and anything else that burns off energy but you will most likely find us waist deep in a river with fly rod in hand.

Elliott Fulton

Youth & Young Adult's Pastor

While sitting in community college, I remember thinking to myself that I had to figure out what I was going to actually do with my life. After imagining myself in any type of vocation possible, I realized I would always feel like something was missing. It was then that I realized what would give me true fulfillment. Having already been heavily involved in Christian Camping ministry for many years, I came to the conviction that God was calling me into vocational ministry. Since then, I have been running towards this call. I graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a major in Youth Ministry in the Spring of 2017 and have since been hired here at Hope. I am so blessed that God has called me into the ministry to care for and lead his people in love!

Family: I met my amazing wife Nicole while at Moody Bible Institute. We were married the summer after I graduated and continue to seek God together in everything we do.

Little Known Fact: Nicole and I have many hobbies which range from binging movies and T.V shows to hiking and hammocking. We are also total foodies. We absolutely love trying new places and one of our favorite types of places to try are sushi joints.
