Hey Hope people!
As you may know Robb and Holly Wright have done a wonderful job with the youth for a number of years here. They stepped up to take leadership of the youth at a critical time in our development as a church and brought the skill, passion and hours necessary to influence many young people here including both of my daughters. Their service as a couple should be something to reflect on as an example of true service for Jesus. The following note from them expresses where they are with God’s leading:
Dear Hope Fellowship,
After much prayerful consideration, we have decided this will be our final school year as youth directors. Ten years ago, God called us into this position and we agreed to serve as long as He asked us to. We always knew we were "temporary" servants meant to prepare the way for a full-time person called into ministry. We are confident God is asking us to step aside and make room for the person He has been preparing. It has been our privilege and joy to serve the youth alongside a team of amazing men and women! We are excited to see what God has in store next, both for us personally and the church. Please join us in praying for Pastor Ben and the elders as they search for the right person to minister to our youth. We will continue to serve until the right person is found.

The elders have discussed the next step for Hope and have decided to pursue employment of a Pastor of Youth and Young Adults. What a critical age to provide great leadership for! Many young people have been significantly influenced, protected and directed by quality church leadership for teens and young adults. We look forward to what God has prepared for us in the future…..please pray to that end.
WOMEN’S DAY RETREAT – Saturday!
Ladies, it’s not too late! The day retreat will be a wonderful time to relax with some other women here at Hope. Please invite a friend! The cost is $40 and includes catered breakfast, lunch, and a special gift. The retreat starts at 8:30 am on March 10th.
MEN! I always insisted on giving my wife times like this to be refreshed and I was more than delighted to spend extended time with my kids so she could have a break – tell her you want her to go.
TIME CHANGE – Sunday!
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead an hour Saturday night.
Christianity, Cults and Religions
9:30-11am or 7-8:30pm
How is Mormonism different than Christianity? When Jehovah’s Witnesses say they believe in Jesus, what do they believe about him? What do I say to a friend or co-worker of another faith? This study explains the history, background and beliefs of the largest world religions and cultic groups, including Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mormonism and more. The cost is $20 for class and materials. Childcare is provided. Contact Leslie with questions;

Can you believe Easter is nearly upon us!? What a great opportunity to reach out with the love of God to friends and neighbors again.
PRAYER & PRAISE – Friday, March 30th at 6:30. Come join me for an hour of prayer
and praise together.  I would like to encourage you to fast that day as we pray for spiritual
openness on the part of people in our communities.
EGGSTRAVAGANZA -  On Saturday of Easter weekend we’ll have some fun stuff
prepared for our neighbors and friends to join. An Egg Hunt for all ages will kick it all off
at 11:00 am. Afterward we’ll have a huge blow up slide and bouncy house for the kids.
Hot dogs and other questionable food items will be available. And last but not least, the
candy cannon will be shooting joy for all to run, grab and hoard.
EASTER SERVICES ON SUNDAY – We’ll be celebrating the central events we’ve
put our hope in for eternal life; the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This
will be one of the most likely times this year that a friend will respond to an invitation to
           visit a church service.
Start bringing candy and put it in my office…..if there’s any left over after I get done with it we’ll use it for the Eggstravaganza on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. We’ll need tons of candy for the eggs and candy cannon so buy bags of wrapped candy and leave it at the information booth.

I’d like to ask you to set aside the week of July 16-20th  from 7:00-9:00 each weekday night to help with this powerful children/family outreach. Sometimes people ask, “How can I make a difference in this world for God?” and they allow lightening strike opportunities like this pass them by. There will be a table set up in the lobby this Sunday for you to check out what’s happening and sign up for something.  There were many families in our building with their kids last summer who may have experienced a loving touch from God’s people for the first time.
See you soon!
