Hey Hope people!
I went to get my glasses repaired last Tuesday and a gentleman took a little time, applied some of his best techniques and started to hand them back to me saying, “It doesn’t look like we can fix them”. Before they were in my hand, a savior appeared who said, “Let me take a look at those”. She worked, pondered, worked…….and then she turned and asked someone else for help. Together, the two of them worked some more and after about 10 minutes of coordinated, quality labor they handed the frames back to me fixed with some instructions on how to prevent another mishap. I couldn’t help walking away feeling grateful that they went the extra mile for me. Do you try to be good at what you do? I’m not sure what the meaningful motive would be for someone who doesn’t know God but for those of us who do - we have the greatest motive possible, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23-24) I was grateful, regardless of their motives, for people who went the extra mile.
NEW MEN’S STUDY – Starts Tuesday
Come out and join with some great guys for a 6-week study on The Holiness of God. Starts Tuesday at 7:00. No cost. Childcare included.
Can you believe Easter is nearly upon us!? What a great opportunity to reach out with the love of God to friends and neighbors again.
PRAYER & PRAISE – Friday, March 30th at 6:30. Come join me for an hour of prayer
and praise together.  I would like to encourage you to fast that day as we pray for spiritual
openness on the part of people in our communities.
EGGSTRAVAGANZA -  On Saturday of Easter weekend we’ll have some fun stuff
prepared for our neighbors and friends to join. An Egg Hunt for all ages will kick it all off
at 11:00 am. Afterward we’ll have a huge blow up slide and bouncy house for the kids.
Hot dogs and other questionable food items will be available. And last but not least, the
candy cannon will be shooting joy for all to run, grab and hoard.
EASTER SERVICES ON SUNDAY – We’ll be celebrating the central events we’ve
put our hope in for eternal life; the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This
will be one of the most likely times this year that a friend will respond to an invitation to
           visit a church service.
BAPTISMS – April 8th
Are you ready for baptism? Through the years I’ve realized that some believers see baptism as a feeling or preference issue. It’s actually a word of God issue, when you come to the conclusion that the Bible is the word of God, it’s easy to discover that God wants every believer to be baptized regardless of your preference or how you feel. If you haven’t been baptized and would like to talk about it, let me know and we’ll chat.
We’ll need tons of candy for the eggs and candy cannon at the EGGSTRAVAGANZA so buy bags of wrapped candy and leave it in the box at the information booth.
KIDZ ADVENTURE CAMP (VBS)  -  July 16-20th  from 7:00-9:00
